The silence after sexual harassment, an inappropriate touch, an uncomfortable joke  can be as heavy as the event itself. It's a silence enforced by shame, fear, and a world that often tells survivors to just move on. Think about these stories:

• A 13-year-old deaf girl, betrayed and married off to her abuser, while the responsible adults celebrated it.

• A 16-year-old, abused by her principal during prayer, silenced by pressure when she tried to report.

These aren't rare exceptions. They show how voices are stolen, how power is abused, and how survivors are often left alone.
